This guide would help you to understand the process where same malware gets skipped in Full System or Custom scan.


Let's check the Quick Heal settings where malware may get skipped in Full System or Custom scan.


Quick Heal Scan Settings:

  • Open Quick Heal Software -> Click on Files & Folders



  • Click on Scan Settings




If Skip option is selected under Select action to be performed when virus is found then action on the malware will be skipped


By default Repair option is selected




Most of the cases malwares in the archive files are getting skipped:


Let's check the Advanced scan setting for it.


Advanced Scan mode:

  • Click on Advanced -> Configure



  • Again Click on Configure



By default setting is as below:

  • Skip option is selected under Select action to be performed when virus is found

  • Archive Scan Level as 2

  • And most commonly used extensions added under Select the type of archive that should be scanned





The following options are available for configuring archive file scan settings:

Select action to be performed when virus is found


Delete: Deletes an archive containing virus-infected file without notifying you.

Quarantine: During scan, if a virus is found in an archive file, then the archive will be moved to Quarantine.

Skip: In this mode, the scanner scans for viruses under archive, skips the virus and archive file without taking any action.

Archive Scan Level: Set the level to scan inside an archive. By default, it is set to level 2. Increasing the default Archive.

Scan Level may affect the scanning speed.

Select the type of archive that should be scanned.


The list of archive file types that can be scanned during the scanning process is available in this section. Few important archive file types are checked by default. You can customize the same.

Select All: Click Select All to check all the archive file types displayed in the list.

Deselect All: Click Deselect All to un-check all the archive file types displayed in the list.


You can set settings as below:

  • Select Quarantine option under Select action to be performed when virus is found
  • Archive Scan Level as 4
  • Click on Select All
  • Click on Ok -> Ok -> Save Changes




  • Now scan the system
